Ingredients
- 6 cups peeled and sliced apples
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Toss apples with lemon juice, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Spread in a baking dish.
- Combine oats, flour, brown sugar, baking powder, and baking soda in a bowl.
- Stir melted butter into oat mixture until crumbly.
- Sprinkle oat mixture over apples.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes until topping is golden and apples are tender.
- Let cool slightly before serving.

- Use tart apples like Granny Smith for best flavor.
