Description

This recipe makes delicious and moist banana bread without using any butter.


Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, mash the bananas.
  3. Add oil, sugar, egg, and vanilla to the mashed bananas. Mix well.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. Mix until just combined.
  6. Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add chocolate chips or nuts.
  • Make sure your bananas are very ripe for the best flavor.
  • Store leftover banana bread in an airtight container.
