This recipe combines the best of chewy fudge cookies and rich brownies to create delicious brookies. You’ll get a perfectly fudgy and chewy texture in every bite.
Ingredients
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and sugar until well combined.
- Stir in the vanilla extract and then beat in the eggs one at a time until the mixture is smooth.
- In a separate medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set and the centers are still slightly soft.
- Let the brookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For extra fudgy brookies, use good quality chocolate chips.
- You can add chopped nuts to the dough if desired.
- Store cooled brookies in an airtight container at room temperature.
