A rich and creamy homemade peanut butter pie, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 1 (9 inch) unbaked pie crust
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Chocolate shavings for garnish
Instructions
- In a large bowl, beat peanut butter and cream cheese until smooth.
- Gradually beat in 1 cup powdered sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract until combined.
- In a separate bowl, whip heavy cream with 1/4 cup powdered sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
- Fold whipped cream into the peanut butter mixture.
- Spoon the filling into the unbaked pie crust.
- Chill for at least 4 hours, or until firm.
- Garnish with chocolate shavings before serving.
Notes
- For a Jif Peanut Butter Pie variation, use Jif creamy peanut butter.
- For a Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie, add 1/4 cup cocoa powder to the filling and top with chocolate ganache.
- This recipe can be adapted into a Peanut Butter Slab Pie by using a 9×13 inch baking dish.
