Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1/2 cup hot sauce
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup celery, diced
  • 1/2 cup carrots, diced
  • 1/2 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 cup blue cheese crumbles (optional)


Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a pot over medium heat.
  2. Add celery, carrots, onion, and garlic. Sauté for 5 minutes.
  3. Pour in chicken broth, hot sauce, salt, pepper, and paprika. Bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat and let simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Stir in shredded chicken and heavy cream. Cook for 5 more minutes.
  6. Garnish with blue cheese crumbles if desired.
