Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup uncooked white rice
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add diced onion and cook until softened.
  4. Stir in uncooked rice, cream of mushroom soup, cream of chicken soup, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  5. Transfer mixture to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  7. Remove foil, sprinkle with shredded cheese, and bake uncovered for 15 more minutes.
  8. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
