Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup uncooked white rice
- 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
- Add diced onion and cook until softened.
- Stir in uncooked rice, cream of mushroom soup, cream of chicken soup, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Transfer mixture to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove foil, sprinkle with shredded cheese, and bake uncovered for 15 more minutes.
- Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- You can substitute ground turkey for beef.
- Add vegetables like peas or carrots for extra nutrition.
- Leftovers keep well refrigerated for 3-4 days.
