A quick and easy cheesy keto ground beef casserole that’s perfect for a weeknight dinner. This low-carb meal is ready in 30 minutes and uses simple ingredients.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess grease.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until the onion is softened, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the salt, black pepper, paprika, and cayenne pepper.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Remove the skillet from the heat. Stir in the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheeses until melted and combined.
- Pour the mixture into an 8×8 inch baking dish.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and the cheese is golden brown.
- Let stand for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier casserole, add more cayenne pepper.
- You can add other keto-friendly vegetables like broccoli florets or spinach.
- Serve with a side salad for a complete meal.
