Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, divided
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups frozen tater tots


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef with the chopped onion. Drain off any excess grease.
  3. Stir in the condensed cream of mushroom soup and milk. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Add 1/2 cup of the shredded cheddar cheese to the beef mixture and stir until melted.
  5. Pour the beef mixture into a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  6. Arrange the frozen tater tots evenly over the top of the beef mixture.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy, and the casserole is bubbly.
  8. Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese over the top during the last 5 minutes of baking.
