Description
Make delicious bakery-style chocolate chip banana muffins. These muffins are moist and perfect for breakfast or a snack.
Ingredients
- 2 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a muffin tin with paper liners.
- In a bowl, mash bananas. Add melted butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla. Mix well.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients. Mix until just combined.
- Gently fold in chocolate chips.
- Fill muffin liners about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let cool in the tin for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of cinnamon.
- You can freeze these muffins for later.
- Use overripe bananas for the best flavor.
