Description
A delicious and comforting cinnamon swirl banana loaf, perfect for breakfast or a sweet treat.
Ingredients
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a loaf pan.
- In a bowl, mix mashed bananas, melted butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- In a small bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon for the swirl.
- Pour half of the batter into the loaf pan. Sprinkle with half of the cinnamon sugar.
- Pour the remaining batter into the pan and sprinkle with the remaining cinnamon sugar and walnuts.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- Make sure your bananas are very ripe for the best flavor.
- Don’t overmix the batter.
- You can add chocolate chips or other nuts.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
