Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted, plus more for greasing
- Powdered sugar, for dusting (optional)
Instructions
- Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk eggs and sugar until pale and thick.
- Add vanilla extract.
- Gently fold in the dry ingredients.
- Drizzle in the melted butter, mixing until just combined.
- Refrigerate the batter for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease and flour a madeleine pan.
- Fill each mold about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 9-12 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Let cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- Dust with powdered sugar, if desired.
