Description

A copycat recipe for LongHorn Steakhouse’s Parmesan Crusted Chicken. This dish features tender chicken breasts coated in a crispy parmesan crust.

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Cut each chicken breast in half horizontally to create thinner cutlets.
  3. In a shallow dish, combine the Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, parsley, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Dip each chicken cutlet into the beaten egg, then press it into the Parmesan mixture, ensuring it is well coated on both sides.
  5. Heat the olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
  6. Sear the coated chicken cutlets for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  7. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  8. Let rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of Italian seasoning to the Parmesan mixture.
  • Serve with your favorite side dishes like mashed potatoes or a salad.
  • Ensure the chicken is fully cooked to a safe internal temperature.
