Description
A comforting creamy chicken and rice casserole without broccoli.
Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 1 cup long-grain rice, cooked
- 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese, plus more for topping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine cooked chicken, rice, cream of mushroom soup, milk, sour cream, salt, and pepper.
- Stir in 1/2 cup cheddar cheese.
- Pour mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Top with remaining cheddar cheese.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until heated through and cheese is melted and bubbly.
Notes
- You can substitute cream of chicken soup for cream of mushroom.
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of garlic powder or onion powder.
- Serve hot.
