Ingredients
- 1 pound chicken sausage, sliced
- 8 ounces pasta (penne, rotini, or farfalle)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain, reserving about 1/2 cup of pasta water.
- While pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add sliced chicken sausage and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is smooth.
- Add cooked pasta to the skillet with the sauce.
- Toss to coat the pasta evenly. If the sauce is too thick, add a little reserved pasta water until desired consistency is reached.
- Stir in fresh parsley.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve immediately.

- For a spicier dish, add red pepper flakes with the garlic.
- You can substitute Italian sausage for chicken sausage.
