A simple and delicious slow cooker dish featuring tender chicken in a creamy, flavorful sauce.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 packet dry Italian salad dressing mix
- 1 (10.75 oz) can golden mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup white wine or chicken broth
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
Instructions
- Place chicken breasts in the crockpot.
- In a saucepan, melt butter with Italian dressing mix.
- Stir in soup, wine (or broth), and cream cheese until smooth.
- Pour sauce over chicken in crockpot.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 4-5 hours.
- Serve over rice or noodles.
Notes
- For a thicker sauce, stir in 1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with water during last 30 minutes.
- Substitute mushrooms for extra flavor.
