Description
A simple and flavorful teriyaki chicken recipe that requires minimal prep. Just dump the ingredients in the crockpot and let it cook.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup teriyaki sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp grated ginger
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- Place chicken breasts in the crockpot.
- In a bowl, mix teriyaki sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes.
- Pour the sauce over the chicken.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or high for 2-3 hours.
- Shred the chicken with two forks.
- Serve over rice, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.
Notes
- Use low-sodium teriyaki sauce if preferred.
- For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in the sauce for 1 hour before cooking.
- Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
