Easy Dump and Go Crockpot Teriyaki Chicken.


Ingredients

  • Chicken Breasts: 1.5 lbs
  • Teriyaki Sauce: 1 cup
  • Soy Sauce: 1/4 cup
  • Brown Sugar: 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic: 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger: 1 teaspoon, minced
  • Cornstarch: 1 tablespoon (optional)
  • Water: 1 tablespoon (optional)


Instructions

  1. Place chicken breasts in the crockpot.
  2. Pour teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger over the chicken.
  3. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  4. Shred the chicken with two forks.
  5. (Optional) Mix cornstarch and water to make a slurry. Add to the crockpot during the last 30 minutes of cooking to thicken the sauce.
  6. Serve over rice or noodles.

Notes

  • You can use chicken thighs instead of breasts.
  • Add vegetables like broccoli or carrots in the last hour of cooking.
  • For a spicier dish, add red pepper flakes.
