Description
Make a simple and delicious strawberry sheet cake. It features a fresh strawberry glaze.
Ingredients
- 1 box (15.25 ounces) yellow cake mix
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- For the Glaze:
- 1 pound fresh strawberries, hulled
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, combine cake mix, milk, oil, eggs, and vanilla. Beat until smooth.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool completely.
- Make the glaze: Blend strawberries until smooth.
- Whisk strawberry puree, powdered sugar, and milk in a bowl until smooth.
- Pour glaze over cooled cake.
- Cut and serve.
Notes
- You can substitute other berries for the strawberries in the glaze.
- Store leftover cake in an airtight container at room temperature.
