A rich and creamy cheesecake infused with the festive flavors of eggnog, perfect for holiday celebrations.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 4 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 1/2 cups eggnog
- 1/4 cup dark rum (optional)
- Whipped cream, for topping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a small bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, 1/4 cup sugar, and melted butter. Press mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
- Bake the crust for 8-10 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool.
- In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and 1 1/2 cups sugar until smooth.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in vanilla extract, nutmeg, and cinnamon.
- Gradually blend in eggnog and rum (if using).
- Pour the filling over the prepared crust.
- Bake for 60-75 minutes, or until the center is almost set.
- Turn off the oven, crack the door open, and let the cheesecake cool in the oven for 1 hour.
- Remove from oven and let cool completely on a wire rack.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or overnight.
- Serve topped with whipped cream.
