Ingredients
- 1 pound turkey sausage
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 1 (15 ounce) container cottage cheese
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Brown turkey sausage in a skillet. Drain any excess grease.
- Add onion and bell pepper to the skillet and cook until softened.
- In a bowl, combine cottage cheese, cheddar cheese, salt, and pepper.
- Mix in the cooked sausage and vegetables.
- Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until the casserole is set and golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- You can add other vegetables, like spinach or mushrooms.
- For a spicier casserole, use hot turkey sausage.
