- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup bow tie pasta
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- In a large pot or Dutch oven, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess grease.

- Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute more until fragrant.
- Pour in the crushed tomatoes and tomato sauce.
- Add the beef broth, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
- Bring the soup to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
- Add the bow tie pasta to the simmering soup.
- Cook according to pasta package directions, or until the pasta is al dente, about 8-10 minutes.
- Ladle the soup into bowls.
- Top each serving with shredded mozzarella cheese and grated Parmesan cheese.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, you can add a splash of red wine when you add the tomatoes.
- Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a touch of heat.
- Fresh basil can be used instead of dried for a brighter flavor.
