Description

A simple recipe for tender chicken breasts coated in a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce.


Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Sear chicken breasts for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  4. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
  5. Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  6. Stir in honey, soy sauce, and lemon juice.
  7. If using cornstarch, whisk it with a tablespoon of water and add to the sauce.
  8. Bring sauce to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  9. Return chicken breasts to the skillet and coat them with the sauce.
  10. Cook for another 5-7 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and the sauce has thickened.
  11. Serve hot.

Notes

  • For a spicier sauce, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
  • Garnish with sesame seeds or chopped parsley if desired.
