Description

Delicious honey garlic meatballs perfect for any occasion. Prepare them in the oven or slow cooker.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp water


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) or prepare your slow cooker.
  2. In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, garlic, salt, and pepper.
  3. Mix gently and form into meatballs.
  4. If baking: Place meatballs on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through. If using slow cooker: Place the meatballs in the slow cooker.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, and ketchup.
  6. If baking: Pour sauce over the meatballs and bake for another 10 minutes. If using slow cooker: Pour the sauce over the meatballs. Cook on low for 3-4 hours or on high for 1.5-2 hours.
  7. In a small bowl, whisk together cornstarch and water. Add to the sauce in the last 30 minutes of cooking (oven or slow cooker) to thicken.
  8. Serve hot.

Notes

  • You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for ground beef.
  • Adjust the honey and soy sauce to your taste.
  • Serve with rice, noodles, or mashed potatoes.
