Description
Delicious honey garlic meatballs perfect for any occasion. Prepare them in the oven or slow cooker.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp water
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) or prepare your slow cooker.
- In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, garlic, salt, and pepper.
- Mix gently and form into meatballs.
- If baking: Place meatballs on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through. If using slow cooker: Place the meatballs in the slow cooker.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, and ketchup.
- If baking: Pour sauce over the meatballs and bake for another 10 minutes. If using slow cooker: Pour the sauce over the meatballs. Cook on low for 3-4 hours or on high for 1.5-2 hours.
- In a small bowl, whisk together cornstarch and water. Add to the sauce in the last 30 minutes of cooking (oven or slow cooker) to thicken.
- Serve hot.
Notes
- You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for ground beef.
- Adjust the honey and soy sauce to your taste.
- Serve with rice, noodles, or mashed potatoes.
