Description
Oven-baked honey teriyaki chicken thighs. Simple, delicious, and made without a slow cooker.
Ingredients
- Chicken thighs: 6-8 (bone-in, skin-on)
- Soy sauce: 1/2 cup
- Honey: 1/4 cup
- Rice vinegar: 2 tablespoons
- Garlic: 2 cloves (minced)
- Ginger: 1 teaspoon (grated)
- Sesame oil: 1 teaspoon
- Cornstarch: 1 tablespoon
- Water: 1 tablespoon
- Sesame seeds: For garnish
- Green onions: For garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil.
- In a small bowl, make a slurry with cornstarch and water.
- Add the slurry to the teriyaki sauce and mix.
- Place chicken thighs in a baking dish.
- Pour the teriyaki sauce over the chicken.
- Bake for 35-45 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- If desired, broil for the last few minutes to caramelize the chicken.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the chicken for at least 30 minutes.
- Adjust the honey to your sweetness preference.
- Serve with rice and steamed vegetables.
