Ingredients
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup evaporated milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 (6 ounce) package semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 (7 ounce) jar marshmallow creme
- 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
Instructions
- Grease an 8×8 inch baking pan.
- In a heavy saucepan, combine sugar, butter, and evaporated milk.
- Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
- Boil for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Remove from heat.
- Stir in vanilla extract and chocolate chips until melted and smooth.
- Fold in marshmallow creme until combined.
- If using, stir in nuts.
- Pour fudge into the prepared pan, spreading evenly.
- Let cool completely before cutting into squares.
Notes
- For a smoother fudge, you can melt the chocolate chips separately and stir them in.
- Store fudge in an airtight container at room temperature.
