Easy Maple Pecan Cinnamon Twists made with puff pastry. These sweet treats are perfect for brunch or holidays.
Ingredients
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Unfold the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface.
- In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, granulated sugar, and cinnamon.
- Spread this mixture evenly over the puff pastry.
- Sprinkle the chopped pecans over the cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Drizzle the maple syrup over the pecans.
- Cut the puff pastry into 1-inch wide strips.
- Gently twist each strip several times.
- Place the twists on the prepared baking sheet.
- Brush the tops with the beaten egg wash.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
