Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unfold the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, granulated sugar, and cinnamon.
  4. Spread this mixture evenly over the puff pastry.
  5. Sprinkle the chopped pecans over the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  6. Drizzle the maple syrup over the pecans.
  7. Cut the puff pastry into 1-inch wide strips.
  8. Gently twist each strip several times.
  9. Place the twists on the prepared baking sheet.
