A simple and moist homemade banana bread recipe using ripe bananas and butter.
Ingredients
- 3 ripe bananas
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup sugar
- ½ cup butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional, but recommended)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mash the ripe bananas in a bowl.
- Mix in the sugar and melted butter.
- Beat the eggs and add them to the mixture.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the banana mixture until just combined.
- Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let it cool before slicing.
Notes
- Use very ripe bananas for the best flavor.
- Check the bread at 50 minutes to avoid over-baking.
