Description

A simple and flavorful one-pan meal featuring tender chicken and buttered noodles, cooked together for easy cleanup.

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 lb)
  • 8 oz egg noodles
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and thyme.
  2. Melt 2 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook for 5-6 minutes per side until golden. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt the remaining butter. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Pour in chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Add the noodles and stir to coat.
  5. Return the chicken to the skillet, cover, and simmer for 10-12 minutes until noodles are tender and chicken is fully cooked.
  6. Sprinkle with parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Use wide egg noodles for best texture.
  • Adjust seasoning if using low-sodium broth.
  • Substitute dried parsley if fresh is unavailable.
