Indulge in a delicious refreshing summer treat with our homemade Peach Sorbet Savor the vibrant fruity flavors using a simple chilled tech
Ingredients
- Ripe peaches
- Sugar
- Lemon juice
- Water
Instructions
- Prepare the Peaches: Wash the peaches thoroughly and cut them in half, removing the pits. Place the peach halves in a blender or food processor and puree until smooth, about 1-2 minutes.
- Add the Sweetener: In a medium saucepan, combine the peach puree with the sugar and lemon juice. Whisk the mixture together and place it over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar has fully dissolved, about 5-7 minutes. Be careful not to let the mixture boil.
- Chill the Mixture: Once the sugar has dissolved, remove the saucepan from the heat and let the peach mixture cool to room temperature. Then, transfer it to a large bowl and place it in the refrigerator to chill for at least 2 hours, or until it’s completely cold.
- Freeze the Sorbet: After the peach mixture has chilled, pour it into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions, usually 20-30 minutes. The sorbet should have a soft, scoopable consistency when done.
- Freeze and Serve: Transfer the churned sorbet to a freezer-safe container and place it in the freezer for at least 2 hours, or until it has reached your desired firmness. Scoop and serve the peach sorbet immediately, or store it in the freezer for up to 2 months.
