Ingredients
- 2 cups pretzel rods or twists
- 1 cup caramel candies, unwrapped
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt, plus more for topping
- 1 cup chocolate chips (milk or dark)
Instructions
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Break pretzel rods into bite-sized pieces or use pretzel twists. Spread them evenly on the prepared baking sheet.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine caramel candies and butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth and melted.
- Stir in vanilla extract and 1/2 teaspoon sea salt into the melted caramel.
- Pour the caramel mixture over the pretzels, ensuring they are well coated.
- Melt the chocolate chips in a separate microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.
- Drizzle the melted chocolate over the caramel-coated pretzels.
- Sprinkle with additional sea salt.
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or until the chocolate and caramel are firm.
- Break into pieces and serve.
