Description
Tender slow cooker chicken thighs in a rich, creamy gravy.
Ingredients
- 6-8 boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Season chicken thighs with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet. Sear chicken thighs until browned.
- Place chicken thighs in the slow cooker.
- Add onion and garlic to the slow cooker.
- Pour in chicken broth.
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- Remove chicken. Whisk flour into the juices in the slow cooker.
- Cook on high until gravy thickens.
- Stir in heavy cream.
- Return chicken to the slow cooker.
- Garnish with parsley.
Notes
- You can use bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs.
- Serve over mashed potatoes or rice.
