Description

A delightful fusion of chewy blondies and classic snickerdoodle cookies, swirled with cinnamon sugar for an irresistible treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the melted butter and granulated sugar. Mix well.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
  6. Pour half of the batter into the prepared baking pan.
  7. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon for the swirl. Mix until smooth.
  8. Dollop spoonfuls of the cinnamon sugar mixture over the batter in the pan.
  9. Gently swirl the cinnamon mixture into the batter using a knife or skewer.
  10. Pour the remaining batter over the swirled layer, spreading evenly.
  11. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs.
  12. Let cool completely in the pan on a wire rack before cutting into squares.

Notes

  • For extra cinnamon flavor, you can sprinkle a little extra cinnamon sugar on top before baking.
  • Ensure your butter is fully melted for the best texture.
  • Allowing the blondies to cool completely will make them easier to cut neatly.
