Description
Delicious soft strawberry sweet rolls with a creamy glaze.
Ingredients
- 1 package active dry yeast
- 1/4 cup warm water
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup chopped fresh strawberries
- Glaze: 1 cup powdered sugar, 2-3 tablespoons milk, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Let stand for 5 minutes.
- Add milk, sugar, melted butter, salt, and egg. Mix well.
- Gradually add flour, mixing until a dough forms.
- Knead dough for 5 minutes.
- Roll out dough. Sprinkle with strawberries. Roll up and slice.
- Place rolls on a baking sheet. Let rise.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20 minutes.
- Whisk glaze ingredients. Drizzle over rolls.
Notes
- You can substitute frozen strawberries, thawed and drained.
- Adjust the amount of milk in the glaze for desired consistency.
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of cinnamon to the dough.
