Description
A refreshing and easy no-bake dessert perfect for summer. This Strawberry Icebox Cake requires no oven and is simple to make.
Ingredients
- 1 package (10.75 ounces) chocolate wafers
- 3 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
Instructions
- In a large bowl, beat heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
- Lay a layer of chocolate wafers on the bottom of a 9×13 inch dish.
- Spread a layer of whipped cream over the wafers.
- Top with a layer of sliced strawberries.
- Repeat layers until all ingredients are used, ending with a layer of whipped cream.
- Cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight.
- Slice and serve.
Notes
- You can substitute other berries for strawberries.
- For extra flavor, add a layer of chocolate shavings.
- Make sure to use fresh, ripe strawberries for the best taste.
