Description
A refreshing and easy strawberry trifle, perfect for summer parties.
Ingredients
- 1 pound strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 (10 ounce) package ladyfingers
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 (8 ounce) container mascarpone cheese
Instructions
- Combine strawberries and sugar. Let stand for 15 minutes.
- Arrange ladyfingers in the bottom of a trifle dish.
- Whip heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
- In a separate bowl, whip mascarpone cheese until smooth.
- Gently fold the mascarpone into the whipped cream.
- Layer strawberries, ladyfingers, and cream mixture in the trifle dish.
- Repeat layers.
- Chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
- You can substitute other berries.
- For extra flavor, add a splash of liqueur to the strawberries.
- Garnish with fresh berries and whipped cream.
