Description
A hearty and flavorful soup made with ground beef, bacon, and cheese, perfect for a carnivore diet.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 lb bacon, chopped
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 cups beef broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook bacon in a large pot until crisp. Remove bacon and set aside, leaving grease in the pot.
- Add ground beef to the pot and cook until browned. Drain excess grease.
- Add onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in garlic and cook for 1 minute more.
- Pour in beef broth and bring to a simmer.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
- Stir in heavy cream and cheddar cheese until cheese is melted and soup is heated through.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot, topped with reserved bacon.
Notes
- For a thicker soup, you can add a cornstarch slurry.
- Adjust cheese amount to your preference.
- This soup can be made ahead and reheated.
