A delicious homemade apple crumble pie.
Ingredients
- Apples (6-8, peeled and sliced)
- Flour (1 cup)
- Sugar (1 cup, divided)
- Butter (1/2 cup, cold, cubed)
- Oats (1/2 cup)
- Cinnamon (1 tsp)
- Pie crust (1, pre-made or homemade)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Toss apples with 1/4 cup sugar and cinnamon.
- Make crumble topping: combine flour, 1/2 cup sugar, butter, and oats.
- Press pie crust into a pie plate.
- Pour apple mixture into the crust.
- Sprinkle crumble topping over apples.
- Bake for 45-55 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Let cool before serving.
Notes
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
- You can adjust the sugar to your preference.
- For a thicker filling, add a tablespoon of cornstarch to the apples.
