Description
Make delicious bakery-style chocolate chip muffins at home. They’re fluffy and perfect for breakfast or a snack.
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a muffin tin with paper liners.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
- Fill the muffin liners about ¾ full.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the muffins cool in the tin for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For extra large muffins, use jumbo muffin liners and increase baking time.
- You can add a sprinkle of extra chocolate chips on top before baking.
- Store muffins in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
