Description
These baked banana yogurt donut muffins are a delicious and healthier treat. They combine the flavors of banana bread and donuts.
Ingredients
- 2 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Optional toppings: powdered sugar, sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease or line a muffin tin.
- In a bowl, combine mashed bananas, yogurt, melted butter, egg, and vanilla.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fill the muffin cups about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the muffins cool in the tin for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
- Decorate with your favorite toppings.
Notes
- You can substitute the all-purpose flour with whole wheat flour.
- Add chocolate chips or nuts for extra flavor.
- For a donut shape, use a donut pan.
