Description
This casserole combines ground beef, cheese, and French fries for a complete meal.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup shredded Colby cheese
- 1 (16 ounce) package frozen French fried potatoes
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In a large skillet, cook ground beef and onion over medium heat until meat is browned and onion is tender. Drain off excess fat.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Stir in mushroom soup and milk.
- Spread half of the French fries in the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Spoon meat mixture over fries.
- Sprinkle with cheese.
- Top with remaining French fries.
- Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until bubbly and fries are golden.
Notes
- For a crispier topping, you can bake the fries separately for a short period before adding them to the casserole.
