Description
Delicious fudgy and chewy browkies (brookies). These are the perfect combination of brownies and cookies.
Ingredients
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed light brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Brownie Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 4 ounces unsweetened chocolate, chopped
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Make the brownie batter: Melt butter and chocolate. Whisk in sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Stir in flour and salt.
- Make the cookie dough: Cream butter and sugars. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Whisk in flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt. Stir in chocolate chips.
- Drop cookie dough onto baking sheet. Top with brownie batter.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes.
- Let cool completely.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of espresso powder.
- You can use different types of chocolate chips.
- Store in an airtight container.
