Description

A hearty and cheesy ground beef cobbler casserole with a savory biscuit topping.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (15 ounces) diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 can (15 ounces) corn, drained
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, brown ground beef with onion and garlic. Drain excess grease.
  3. Stir in diced tomatoes and corn. Cook for 5 minutes.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, flour, melted butter, baking powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  5. Pour the biscuit mixture over the beef mixture in the skillet.
  6. Sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the biscuit topping is golden brown and cooked through.
