Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) cold unsalted butter, cubed
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2-4 tablespoons cold water


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and baking powder.
  3. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in the cheddar cheese.
  5. Add cold water, one tablespoon at a time, until the dough comes together.
  6. Roll out the dough thinly.
  7. Cut into cracker shapes.
  8. Place crackers on a baking sheet.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  10. Let cool completely before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of cayenne pepper.
