Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup dried cherries, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8×8 inch baking pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Stir in chocolate chips and chopped cherries.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs.
- Let cool completely before cutting and serving.
Notes
- For extra fudgy brownies, don’t overbake.
- You can use fresh cherries, but chop them finely and pat dry.
- Store brownies in an airtight container at room temperature.
