Description
A simple and delicious chili con carne recipe made in your slow cooker.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
- 1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 (15 ounce) can pinto beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 packet chili seasoning
- 1 cup beef broth
- Optional toppings: shredded cheese, sour cream, chopped onions
Instructions
- Brown ground beef in a skillet. Drain any excess grease.
- Place browned beef, onion, and garlic in the slow cooker.
- Add crushed tomatoes, kidney beans, pinto beans, chili seasoning, and beef broth.
- Stir to combine.
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
- Serve hot with your favorite toppings.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of chili seasoning to your taste.
- You can add other vegetables, such as bell peppers or corn.
- For a spicier chili, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or a chopped jalapeño.
