A simple and delicious recipe for Greek yogurt marinated chicken, perfect for a healthy and high-protein dinner.
Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup Greek yogurt
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together Greek yogurt, minced garlic, olive oil, oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Place chicken breasts in a resealable bag or dish.
- Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring it’s fully coated.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight.
- Preheat grill or oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Grill or bake chicken until cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F or 74°C).
- Let rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add lemon zest to the marinade.
- Serve with a side of vegetables or a salad.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
