A simple and delicious ground turkey pasta with fresh tomato and basil.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 8 ounces pasta
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Grated Parmesan cheese for serving (optional)


Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions.
  2. Brown ground turkey in a pan with olive oil. Drain any excess grease.
  3. Add onion and garlic. Cook until softened.
  4. Stir in crushed tomatoes and basil. Season with salt and pepper. Simmer for 15 minutes.
  5. Add cooked pasta to the sauce. Toss to combine.
  6. Serve with Parmesan cheese, if desired.
