A quick and flavorful stir-fry featuring juicy chicken thighs and a savory garlic sauce.
Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- Cooked rice, for serving
- Sesame seeds, for garnish (optional)
- Chopped green onions, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a bowl, toss chicken with cornstarch.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, chicken broth, oyster sauce, and brown sugar.
- Heat oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add chicken and cook until browned.
- Add bell peppers and onion; cook until slightly softened.
- Pour sauce over chicken and vegetables.
- Cook, stirring, until sauce thickens.
- Serve over cooked rice, garnished with sesame seeds and green onions if desired.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of garlic to your preference.
- Feel free to add other vegetables like broccoli or snap peas.
- For a spicier dish, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
