Description
Simple and flavorful oven-roasted mussels with garlic butter.
Ingredients
- 1 kg fresh mussels, cleaned
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
- In a bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, parsley, and red pepper flakes (if using). Season with salt and pepper.
- Place the mussels in a baking dish.
- Drizzle the garlic butter mixture over the mussels.
- Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the mussels open. Discard any that don’t open.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- Make sure to scrub the mussels well before cooking.
- Discard any mussels that are already open or damaged.
- You can add a squeeze of lemon juice before serving.
