Description

Simple and flavorful oven-roasted mussels with garlic butter.


Ingredients

  • 1 kg fresh mussels, cleaned
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. In a bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, parsley, and red pepper flakes (if using). Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Place the mussels in a baking dish.
  4. Drizzle the garlic butter mixture over the mussels.
  5. Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the mussels open. Discard any that don’t open.
  6. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Make sure to scrub the mussels well before cooking.
  • Discard any mussels that are already open or damaged.
  • You can add a squeeze of lemon juice before serving.
