Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) cold unsalted butter, cubed
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup ice water


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together flour, salt, cayenne pepper, and black pepper.
  2. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Stir in the cheddar cheese.
  4. Gradually add ice water until the dough comes together.
  5. Wrap the dough and chill for at least 30 minutes.
  6. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  7. Roll out the dough and cut into cracker shapes.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden.
  9. Let cool and enjoy your spicy cheddar crackers.
